ABOUT ABIGAIL
Abigail is a 10-year-old from Colleyville, TX who is living with cystic fibrosis.
She was diagnosed at five weeks old and has two rare mutations. For years, treatments that help most people with CF weren't an option for her because of her rare mutations.
Just weeks before her 10th birthday, we found out that one of her mutations was added to the label for Trikafta, and that she would finally be able to start a drug that can prevent and even reverse the damage done by this devastating disease.
We are forever grateful to the scientists, doctors, and advocates of the CF Foundation for their tireless efforts and commitment to developing this incredible drug that gives us hope for a full life for Abigail. We know that there are still others waiting for their miracle, and we won't stop fundraising and advocating until there is a cure for every last person living with CF.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a rare, genetic disease in which a defective gene causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The buildup of mucus can lead to extensive lung damage, respiratory failure, malnutrition, liver disease, and gastrointestinal issues, among other complications.
